Video Production FAQs
Straight answers on scope, cost, timing and who owns what.
Ask them on a free call. We’ll talk through your video with you.
What types of business videos can Ascendly produce?
Corporate and brand films, commercials and promos, product demos and explainers, customer testimonials, and social and short-form video. If you need something else, ask. We’ll tell you if it’s a fit.
Can you handle concept development, filming, and editing?
Yes. We manage the project from idea to final file: brief, concept, script, planning, filming, drone, voiceover, editing, graphics, music and captions. The work is done by our own team and trusted production partners, with one Ascendly lead as your point of contact.
Do you offer drone footage, voiceover and motion graphics?
Yes. Drone aerials, professional voiceover, licensed music and motion graphics can all be part of your project, like the Shrieve video on this page. Drone filming depends on the location and airspace, which we check before the shoot.
Can you edit footage that we already have?
Yes. Send us what you have and we’ll cut, color, mix, caption and version it. We’ll tell you honestly if a short pickup shoot would make it much better.
What affects the cost of a video production project?
Creative complexity, shoot days and locations, crew and talent, motion graphics, licensed music and footage, the number of versions, revision rounds, travel and your deadline. Projects start at $2,500. Every project is quoted in writing after a free call, before any work starts.
How long does production take, including approvals?
Filming is usually the shortest stage. The full project depends on how fast the script and edits are approved, and on how many versions you need. You get a schedule with the quote, and we agree the dates with you.
What final files and platform versions will we receive?
A high-resolution master plus the versions agreed in your plan: widescreen, vertical and square, shorter cutdowns, captions and thumbnails, named for each platform.
Who owns the final video, raw footage, and project files?
You own the finished videos once the project is paid. Raw footage is available on request. Music and stock footage are licensed for the uses we agree, so you’re covered wherever the video runs.
Where can filming take place, and how is travel handled?
We’re based in The Woodlands, TX. Our own team and trusted production partners film on location across the Houston area. Shooting somewhere else in the US? We travel, and travel is quoted with the project.
